Chelation with DMSA – 11 Rounds Complete

My 11th round at 6.5mgs DMSA was the easiest and it feels like the worst might be over.

Those first 10 rounds were really tough, there were a lot of days where I was asking myself what the hell I was doing. I was questioning everything and felt like I was getting nowhere. This has been the most confusing part of it all and unless you understand chelation, there is a high chance you’ll give up, just as I did years ago. I kept on referring back to the book just to make sure I was on the right track.

Some of the initial rounds I would be unable to move from the couch but it was bearable. Sometimes it was better to get up and start moving or else symptoms just got worse. The body was obviously very busy and a lot of changes were happenning, i just had to get through it. Food wise, i had to go alkaline a lot – salads, green juice, high ph water in an effort to just minimise symptoms and keep things moving. And ememas, no coffee added this time, only water was needed, and it’s it’s so much easier. If I hadn’t been to the loo one day, i’d help it out.

If you’re in pain and sore, acidity and congestion is partly why, so I was doing massage (rolling on the floor and stretching), salads with minimal meats, enemas and rest. Whatever works for you.

Sleep was very important. That first long night, getting up a few times is draining. I minimised screen time and managed my adrenals as well as I could. I don’t take any adrenal support apart from the vitamins perhaps so getting the sleep right can be difficult. I had to take naps during the days.

It’s a case of doing anything just so you can get through the round and recover then do it again. Just keep banging out the rounds. If you feel you’re getting nowhere, that’s okay, just beleive in the science.

If you’re getting worse, adjust the dose or change how you are coping/supporting yourself throughout the round.

So I hope this continues. I won’t be aggressive and increase any dosage levels, as I’ve too many setbacks over the years. I’m not stuffing this up, I’m being very conservative. No ALA yet for sure. The next 10 rounds will be interesting.

Still a long way to go but some minor improvements noticed:

– slightly less agitated, i can actually lie in bed in the morning with out having to get moving due to agitation. Listening to music in car again after many years. Able to talk on phone longer. Not searching for words as much. Better mood, not as grumpy. Some personality returning. Tolerating foods better. Physically stronger. Can sit in sun longer. Outlook on life is bit better.
